GRID - Google Rising Influencers with Disabilities Fellowship

In 2024 Google launched GRID, a six month fellowship designed with and for creators with disabilities. The program covers key skills for digital creators, lessons from industry thought leaders, and provides members with a direct connection to Google product teams.

I designed and animated a logo to use with the promotion of the fellowship, using Google’s existing brand guidelines while taking care to make the final logo color accessible. The GRID team wanted a logo with a strong sense of motion, that represented the individuality of the participants and their goals as well as the interconnectedness of the fellowship. The hashtag was a perfect vehicle for this—it’s a grid with strong ties to social media, and it’s its interwoven structure symbolizes both the individual paths and the collaborative spirit that defines the fellowship.
